In this paper, we first propose a new extended mixture model of residuallifetime distributions. We show that this model is suitable in modelingresidual lifetime in some practical situations. Several closure properties ofsome well-known dependence concepts, stochastic orders and aging notions underthe formation of this model, are obtained. Finally, preservation properties ofsome stochastic orders under the formation of the model are discussed and someexamples of interest are presented.
